The route Squali 46 was created in honor of Valentino Rossi and the charming village of Tavullia
The Organizing Committee of the Granfondo Squali has elaborated a third, shorter, and easier route, suitable for those who want to experience the excitement of the Squali first hand – by road bike, MTB, or even e-bike – without the competition of a race and the pressure of a stopwatch. This is a route for beginners and tourists who love cycling to “experience” the beauty of the area at a slower pace and enjoy the surrounding landscape in peace and safety, accompanied by cycling guides.
The route SQUALI 46 is precisely 46 km long, a magic number that recalls the outstanding achievements of Valentino Rossi, 9-time world champion, an icon of MotoGP, and one of the most famous and popular Italian athletes of all time, to whom this third route is dedicated.
The start, as with the other two routes, will be on Sunday, MAY 117, from the Acquario di Cattolica, with an obligatory stop at the fabulous refreshment stand in the center of Tavullia, where you will also find VR46 Store, with the largest collection of clothing, accessories, and merchandise dedicated to “The Doctor”( the complete catalog on www.vr46.com) and to the riders of the VR46 Riders Academy.
Then continue at leisure to the finish in Gabicce Monte, where you can participate in the festivities and the final refreshment with blue fish, piadina, and beer.
The registration fee for the Squali 46 is 46 euros. Those who register will also receive a 46 branded cap (in addition to all the gadgets included in the Shark Book and in the goody bag).
